![]() I never used it as an id after it was cut either.Ĭan I do anything about this now? Is there any way I could get them back if he was lying? Can I get him in trouble if he was lying, as an authority figure in the matter working in a government office and threatening me of something false? I had it as a souvenir, it was cut on the side and not valid as an id. Instead he said he was going to keep it!! and if I wanted to keep talking about it, he could fine me $3,000 under federal law! Is this true? Could he really do that? I can't find any law stating this. I showed it to him since he asked to see it. ![]() ![]() The mean guy said oh you have your old permit and asked to see it. I worked really hard for that license and practiced a lot! I mentioned I was sad that they couldn't give me my old license back, considering that in Florida they cut up my permit and gave it back to me as a souvenir. Then, when I went to see how my boyfriends transaction was going the guy attending him was really mean. I thought they could just cut it and give it back to me. It has a lot of sentimental value to me and I really wanted to keep it. All went well except for the fact that they kept my old license. I just moved to Texas from Florida and went to the DMV office today to get a new license. My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: Texas
